My file was transferred to Mississauga too. (instead of Paris and we don't know why) Are they as fast as everyone say?

I am now convinced that everyone’s application is processed differently . It must depend on the VO or the officer ? For example my husbands medicals are passed and eligibility states in progress , yet background has not started , we also have not received AOR2 . I’m following this thread and cheering for everyone’s victory , yet learning that I can’t compare because everyone’s application and situation are so unique.
So to answer your question , I’m sure in your case or the officers case your situation is normal.
Wishing you the best of luck and patience

My application status is the same as yours. Wondering if I should be worried. Passed medicals on January 19th, Eligibility is in progress, background check still not started and no AOR2 either.
Have you heard anything yet?

Ha ! Not a thing at all . I know that the regular VO for my husbands country would be Mexico. And for you what VO ?

That’s great news ! The way I look at it , we are literally 4.5 months into the process, still a while to go . My husband has patience , I don’t but in this case I am listening hahah and just waiting it out. Mexico office is so slow and I must admit I was hoping and praying to be processed here in Canada ... I’m not sure if there is any hope for that though .

Hey guys
Is there any quebec applicat here?
Do you know how long after they received the document they withdraw the money? For us they received documents 10 days ago and still when I check my online banking they did not take the money, Does it mean they have not started processing yet?

I'm the same way. I keep calling CIC and worrying my head off, no patience...as if that'll help Haha. I'm was hoping to be processed in Canada too. But I'll settle in for the wait if its Mexico.
My consultant told me that it's a new branch that opened in Mexico because the Port of Spain office is backlogged. She said it shouldn't take a very long time to process once its transferred but that's not what I'm reading about Mexico VO in the forums. Just a waiting game.

  3. We sent you a letter on January 4, 2019. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
Outland app from the UK. This is what I see on ECAS under "Sponsorship Application Status". The letter has not arrive yet. Does anyone have any idea what it would be? Status is still "In Progress"...

GCKey status for reference:

Review of eligibility: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility.
Review of medical results: You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.
Review of additional documents: We do not need additional documents.
Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics: We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

EDIT: Neither the sponsor or the PA have received an email. Last email we received was the AOR and that went to the sponsor on December 20th :/

Further to this, I've had such a problem using the IRCC Webform to ask them to re-send this. In the last attempt, my partner (the sponsor) sent an enquiry asking then to re-send the letter. They came back and said:

"In order to better assist you, we invite you to resubmit your request by filling out the IRCC Web form and by following these instructions:
  • If you are the sponsor and are inquiring about the principal applicant, include the following information in the Your enquiry box of the web form:
o the sponsor's surname and complete given name, and

o the sponsor's date of birth (YYYY-MM-DD), and

  • In the Applicant information section of the web form, enter the principal applicant's information.
In addition, please provide a Use of a Representative (IMM 5476) form, a Release of Information to an Individual (IMM 5475) form or a Power of Attorney in order to be authorized to receive the requested information."

I don't understand why she would need to provide any further forms, as she's asking about a letter allegedly sent to her, the sponsor?
