Every timeline is different. AOR1 might take up between 2-3 months. Some who are lucky received theirs in a month. I received mine after almost 3 months of waiting. You are still in a normal waiting period. I hope you will receive it soon. Good luck!

I recently submitted application to sponsor my wife. She is in India and I am a PR living in Canada. My application was just delivered to the Sydney office yesterday. I am curious to know what method of delivery is used by cic to send AOR1 and whom do they send it to? Sponsor mailing address? Primary Application mailing address?

If sponsor mailing address changes in the time between sending application and them sending AOR1, then what should be done to notify?

AOR is delivered through email. If email or any mailing address (or any other important info) changes, you can update them through the webform: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp

On form IMM5669 it is written that by electronically typing my name i am signing this document...do i need to sign it manually also or only electronical signs will be enough ? Also i am submitting my all documents through mail

Hello guys,
I am a Canadian citizen sponsoring my wife who is in th Philippines. I have a couple of questions regarding completing the forms. I hope you can help me.

Questions:

1. In IMM 5532, Part A Question 5. There is a table asking for my previous residences. It has 5 columns. I only used the first three columns, do I have to put N/A to the last two columns that were not used?
2. After printing the IMM 5532 form, is it OK to write in ink “N/A” under UCI for my sponsored spouse (applicant) it’s her first application - it won’t allow me to type “N/A” in the computer.
3. In IMM 5532, Part C Question 9, (formal ceremonies or event) it has a table asking for the time and date, the ceremony or event, and the number of guests. Do I (the groom) and my wife (applicant) count as guests? For example, event - Honeymoon, will it be “2 “ under number of guests?
4. I live in Canada but I will be visiting my wife in a few months in the Philippines. Is it OK if I sign and complete the forms (forms for sponsor) in the Philippines and send all the other documents together (from Philippines) with my wife’s forms (for applicant) to ircc - canada? Do I send it to the Sydney office or Mississauga?

Did you provide your email addresses? They will email either the sponsor or the PA. In my case they emailed me(sponsor).

(For IMM 5669 only) Type your name electronically, print it and sign manually beside your printed name. Good luck!

As per checklist, yes police certificates are required to be submitted along with your application package and not optional.

Also, another confusion re: proof of relationship form. How do I prove that the names of friends I have listed that know us are real? I have signed letters from them. Do I also need the copies of their passports?

No, you don’t have to. And you do not need their passport copies. You will only submit additional documents (like signed letters, etc.) if you are requested to do so.

I got an email from IRCC with Application Number and UCI etc. I checked Client Application Status and it is 'In Process' and 'Application Received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada' But according to their web (https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/redir.do?redir=app_perm_fam&lang=en&app=ecas), the next step is 'Documentation Verified by CIC' and at that stage, the application can be returned to you if it is incomplete. So does that mean that even though I got AOR (the email) my application could still be returned if it is incomplete?? I thought they would send out AOR only after they reviewed that the documents are complete.

Could anyone please answer my question? Thanks!

Once you get your AOR, it means your application is complete and will not be returned due to missing documents, forms, signatures, etc.
