Congratulations!! Long due
Hi guys,

I have some good news to share with everyone regarding my application. I spoke to CIC agent on Jan 15th and they informed me that all my status are passed on that day and should expect a confirmation of approval within two weeks (although she didn’t confirm it was approved but was 99% certain).

I called again few minutes ago as I haven’t received any email and was congratulated that my application was approved on the 15th of January and I should wait for an email confirmation of this as it could take up to 30 days from the approval date.

So glad it has finally come to an end. Just a matter of waiting now. My AOR is May 7, 2018 - Inland applicant. 2 applicants (myself and my wife).

Wishing everyone a quick and favourable response.

Guys , maybe a silly question. Can I use the same picture for PPR and PR card?. I'll be taking picture today and since I plan to leave in couple of months it is still within the six month timeline.

I have been waiting for you to come and announce PPR here.
Guys he got it. Announced it on WA. He would come announce it and share his timeline i guess
Congratulations again.:D:D:D

It has been a good week for Montreal and the week is not yet over.
My fear is when Montreal has good weeks there is usually one or two silent weeks that follow.
Hopefully, they don't go silent and continue with this pace

Account does move to IP2 before PPR in Montreal. Happened with me too. There was 1.5 hour lag between Ip2 and PPR.

It is the same picture. You send two pictures. One is put on COPR and one is kept by them for PR card. You don't send a different picture for PR card unless they reject the picture which happens quite often.

Excellent . Thank you!. Didn't know that. I thought they use it for visa stamping and when we land they asked for another. That is what I've heard. I suppose if it's within 6 months that is the case. Where did you take yours and print? I'm going to a professional photographer today

I also used a professional photographer. Charged me 35$!!

Cool. Mine says photo will be ready in 4-7 days since they print cut from someone else so 20 days will be left for deadline I'm trying to see if there's a quicker one..but I don't want a crappy photo .
Guys if you are in 6th,7th month it would be good idea to find professional photographer and have pics ready

Can't we use Walgreens? They do take the Canadian passport size pictures 50 x 70 mm?

so basically it has to be within the last 6 months right? i mean the photo needs to have a 6 month validity from the day it is printed right ?
