My test was pretty easy but my wife's seemed a little harder. It had some more obscure questions that came from the little side boxes in Discover Canada. We both passed.

Just make sure you read Discover Canada at least twice and do a bunch of online practice tests and you'll be fine.

Hello everyone!

M’y husband just received his oath invite today for February 8 @ 8:30am.

A bit early but we’ll take anything! We are planning on going as a family with our 3 kids under 5 not sure how that will work out as our daughter is not the type to sit and calm down.

What I’ve learned is, it doesn’t matter when you will get DM, in the end you’ll get the oath invite.
Like for example many applicants got
DM after test and waited 2-3 months for oath. As for us we got DM 3 months after and oath invite after 1 week. So the best thing to do is wait. I stressed more than my husband, it was so funny.

I hope everyone the best of luck and an end to this stressful journey very soon!

True n agreed, are you from Ottawa? And your oath date is 8 feb, 2019. Am also waiting for the oath invite and just checking the ceremonies dates on cic website I didn’t find any February dates on cic website.
Am very happy for you guys that you got oath invites and please confirm me that you oath is in Ottawa 235 queen st, is that correct.

Yeah and still Waiting for oath invite, after visiting cic website I thought that now maybe be I receive oath invite in March because no dates are publish on cic website but once I saw your response m happy that Ottawa’s applicant received oath invite good news and best of luck once again and congrats for your citizenship ceremony.

Farah also in this group is waiting for oath invite too for Ottawa. I think they are filling up spots like she said. Keep checking your emails. Did you apply as a family or single?

I applied as family me and my two daughters. Test passed on 10 Jan and Got DM on 11 jan finger crossed.

Oh that’s why! Same situation as Farah her and family. She told me it looks like they are trying to find a good oath date for
Her and her family so they can all take the oath together. And I believe that’s what they are trying to do for you as well. I think sometime this February you will get it. I guess the spot they gave us was so close because we are single so there must have been 1 spot open and they gave it to us.

It’s almost over I promise! You’ll have your citizenship before March I believe so! Fingers crossed!

A lot of moms friends are also waiting. My family lives in a Brampton. Anyway, my moms friends, 1 applied in May 2018 and the other I believe either February or March 2018 and they haven’t gotten test invite either. I really think it’s just Brampton. I honestly wouldn’t let it go for sure. Just wait trust me! I know it sucks waiting and watching other people get test invites or even oath invites.

I think all Brampton applicants will either get test invite by the end of February. I honestly feel like sooooooooo many people in Brampton apply for citizenship and the officer that is holding those applications are either lazy or just have so many files they can’t keep up. I could be wrong I don’t know but just wait you’re not the only one trust me!

Do not give up, you’re not the only one waiting, I’m waiting on Kitchener office, damn slow too.

Same here with me i keep on stressing myself and my wife why our ecas is not updating yet we took and passed our exam last January 23 and till now ecas still in process while others having DM’s after one or two days of their exam dates.reading your post is a lil bot of a relief.might as well cal down relax and wait.congratulations and thank you

Yeah we waited 14.5 weeks for DM. However because you applied in April 2018, I think you’ll get DM before the 3 months. So maybe before the end of February you will get DM and oath March. To be honest, just wait. I could be wrong and maybe DM even sooner with Oath Invite. Good luck and keep us updated!
