After selecting the below criteria, it says, you need biometrics. However, while submitting the application online, it did not ask me to pay the biometrics fee. Please clarify.

Select one: (required)
I didn’t give biometrics in the past

Select the country code that matches the one on your passport. (required)
IND

What will you apply for? (required)
Permanent residence - includes family and economic classes

Answer: You need to give your biometrics.

Surprising. My AOR is 24 Dec. Earlier it said I don't need biometrics. Now it indeed says they are needed.
What do you guys suggest?

Those who got AoR before December 31 2018, don’t need to give biometrics. It has started from December 31 onwards for applicants from India.

Oh so those before 31 Dec don't need bio metrics but the website says it is needed anyway because it is past 31 Dec now...
Cool it will show biometrics needed for every country it is applied to now, no matter what AOR is!

I am not aware of such requests from Canada for in-country criminal checks. Please keep us posted and good luck!

Hi,

Today I was asked for additional info at my cic account.
My husband was asked a criminal record check from Canada (with fingerprints).
He lived 1 year in Vancouver in 2015, so I don't know if this is the reason.

I don't know if I am sad or happy.. My UCI and my Background check changed and my bar moved a lot from the 1st square.
any thoughts about this, please???

Technically, you should maintain your funds at the level you indicated all the way up to landing. There are people who have had their POF reviewed for a number of reasons, mostly due to fluctuations in the exchange rate between CAD and the currency the money is held in.

My case
AOR - 18th Dec
MEP - waiting...

I have a query.
After AOR is done - If I'm doing transaction in my bank account which may bring down the balance lower than the required proof of funds, will it be an issue. It's been more than a month since my AOR, I have a situation where i need to move all the funds and also take a personal loan as well in a week's time. Will this be a problem? Will CIC get to know the latest funds status in the coming months?

Please be careful to post such things as questions and not statements; you could cause a lot of people to panic. Several members, including myself, have posted about this issue before. If you are an FSW-O applicant and are a citizen of either the US or India and have an AOR of before 31st December 2018 then you do not need to provide your biometrics. Other applicants may also be exempted based on their nationality with an AOR of prior to 31 Dec 2018, but I am speaking from what I know for sure.
