Hello,
I have recently received a notification that my application for student Visa has been refused. The grounds for refusal are:

  • I am not satisfied that you will leave canada at the end of your stay, based on the purpose of visit
  • I am not satisfied that you will leave canada at the end of your stay, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.
My husband and I currently have a visitor visa for 10 years and we also have an express entry profile open. Do you think this is what impacted my refusal? My husband will accompany me during my 2 year period study in Canada and also requested a Open Work Permit. He has a sister that is a Permanent Resident.

My question to anyone that has experience on this would be:

  • Would you recommend me to re apply? Or the probability to get approved is low? Should I keep trying? At the end of the letter it states that I am welcome to re apply, if I fell I can respond to these concerns.
I would really appreciate any help / recommendations anyone can provide. Do you know any cases in which someone has applied and gotten approved??

What did you apply to study and what is your work and education background? Does it lead to advancement for your career?

Yes the fact that you are applying for EE hurts you. So does the sister in Canada. Just so you know spouses of international students aren't guaranteed visas. The fact that your husband also wanted to come to Canada added to your issue because you had very little ties to you home country.
