hello,
I am in the beginning stages of sponsoring my Egyptian husband and want to know which documents he needs to prove his identity. And do all copies of ID need to be certified? Also his National ID says that he is still single and not due to renewal for three years, will this cause any issue?

We are also thinking about a representative for this process and want to make sure if we have to fill out all the forms and sign them before giving them over to her. And how long is his police check valid for? I am going to visit at the end of the month and want to know if I bring it home with me that it still will be vaild for later.

Lastly, the translations for his documents do I need to send both copies or just the translated ones?

The police check is valid for 6 months I believe. My husband Egyptian also. We submitted his passport and his national ID. I think drivers is okay too.

Hey how did your process go? I also began sponsoring my Egyptian husband in January 2019 and I'm still waiting. Everything went great and we used a lawyer to apply, but heard nothing since his medical exam was approved in June 2019. How was your experience? Any updates that could give me hope?

Would order GCMS notes. Processing tends to be over a year for Egypt and very little processing has been done since March. You will have a better idea of what Has been completed. Not necessary but it is an option.
