The most lame excuse that I hear from CIC is that each case is different from others and some cases require more time for verification blah blah blah
Yeah, right. So, let's see how my case was complicated:
1- My education was from a well-known Canadian university, easy to verify, no need for any assessment, ECA, or anything
2- There are many cases with review required for their job experience letter, format of the letter, wrong NOC code, etc., yet they are receiving ppr after several ADRS. There are a lot of cases who fake their job experience, yet they are receiving ppr. But, in my case, everything was in order. The job experience is Canadian. Because of the job that I have, CIC even has access to my employment information and can verify everything. Everything was clear and easy to verify.
3- Criminality: I have been living in this country for several years and they already have all my info, finger prints, etc. I have provided them PCC from Canada and from my country of origin.I have already done RCMP finger prints on several occasions and they checked my background for some other applications that I had
4- PoF: I have a job in Canada, so no need for PoF.
5- Security: this is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. If you are suspicious that I might be dangerous to the Canadian security, why the hell you allowed me in Canada at first place. How come I haven't done anything against Canadian in this time that I have been living in Canada.

"each case is different blah blah blah" is just a lame excuse that CIC uses to hide behind it whenever necessary.
Man I feel you. Finished masters from a top uni in Canada. Job description, duties and NOC clearly stated. T4 and paystubs provided. Zero travel history.

I think they're probably reviewing because I work remotely from Vancouver for a company in Victoria. Same damn province just another city. Someone in the forum is getting his application reviewed because of something similar. He's in Ontario but the company in Quebec.

T4 verfies a lot of stuffs specially proof of funds and employer information. It's also stated in their website for CEC applicant.

Near identical situation except for maybe country of origin.

And I am fully planning to become a citizen as soon as I can, which is two years after becoming PR, as our time as a temporary resident count for maximum 1 year. This is both helping with the psychology of waiting as my end game is being a Canadian so what are couple months of delay, but at the same time quite disheartened that they suspect me enough to put me through additional screening even after coming here at the age of 18 and has spent 6 years+ here..

It makes sense for your friend as Quebec has different immigration laws than other part of Canada. But I don't think that is the case for you, cuz the rules in Victoria is the same as Vancouver

You have a point. IDK what's up really.

Today I talked with IRCC agent regarded bc PNP paper pr app everything for that is on time. Security - not started.

I think they'll process security for both application once which may explain the delay.

Just got my GCMS notes, don't want to feel discouraged but :(.....I need your help @cansha or anyone with a similar 'request for review' on their notes.

Been trying to paste a screenshot of the notes with no luck. It goes.....R10 Ok Recommendation: Review required. Stat Questions Spouse -----AGE----- Applicant's age reviewed and changed from ITA to e-APR Documents set for review; Client information.
My CRS score was 463 before ITA and AOR (and cut off at the time of my draw was 441). Guess the age thingy might come to play here, but it still keeps me well ahead of cut-off.

And again, in all my previous communications with IRCC both verbal (speaking with an agent) and via CSE, my Visa office was CIO and Eligibility in process. Now I am seeing Montreal as my Primary Visa office and CIO as my secondary visa office and
Eligibility: Not started,
Security: Not Started
Criminality: In progress
Medicals: Passed
Info Sharing: In progress

Though I am within the 6months timeline based on my status bar stuff.

Don’t worry about points change because of age change. Those cases get approved without any issue. What’s your AOR? There is a separate thread for Montreal VO.

Hello Folks....

Aor: June 12, 2018
FSW-Inland.

Just called CIC and I was lucky enough to get in queue in the 1st shot. The agent was very polite and answered very patiently. As far as update on the application, nothing has changed since Jan 12, 2019. Medical, Eligibility and Criminality- all Passed and Security in Progress. File is still at CIO, Sydney NS. I asked if she can leave a note on the file for officer to get any update about security and she said that if I don't hear anything until April 16, 2019 then she can contact officer. not before this date which is life after 10 months of my AOR...:mad:
She also said as I am already in Canada, I will definitely receive PPR from Ottawa only. File will be moved from Sydney- Ottawa once everything is finalized.

I don't know what CIC is upto...Why taking sooo much long to finalize everything..!! Especially for June applicants....:(

I am june 12 aor applicant too under fstp and still waiting for my ppr!

Can you please share details of what was reflection in your GCMS Notes? It would help a lot of people assess their position.
It basically said that my file was approved on November 5th but it was in qeue for PPR. The only weird thing is that on every page that mentioned my security check, it was all blank, as if it hadn't started yet.
If you need any particular detail feel free to DM me.

Hi, another invader from a different AOR month here...

Stream: CEC
AOR: July 7, 2018
Medical passed: July 21, 2018
Approved: Dec 19, 2018

My application was moved from Ottawa to CIO Sydney on Dec 13, 2018 before being approved 6 days later. I have still not received the Ready For Visa email, and like many others my COPR seems to be stuck in a printing queue at CIO Sydney.

I have called IRCC many times, and an agent sent a message to CIO Sydney on January 7 (as of January 21 the message remained unacknowledged according to another IRCC agent).

I raised a CSE a few weeks ago only to be blessed with Matthew's generic fuck-you-and-wait response. I've since raised another CSE, and sent emails to Ottawa, CIO and NDVO but I won't get my hopes up...

Finally, a few weeks ago I got in touch with the office of my local MP and asked them to look into the delay for me. The MP's case worker called me up about a week later telling me that they'd been in touch with IRCC and that another reminder has been sent to CIO for which they expect a response within 10 business days.

I'm praying I get some good news in the next few weeks as my application nears the 7-month mark. Hope this helps someone in a similar situation and good luck!
