Hi
I hope everyone is doing well.
I applied for study permit on the 14th of January. Today, I received a refusal based on the following grounds:

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your immigration status.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your current employment situation.
• Pursuant to paragraph 220(a) of the IRPA, I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay the tuition fees for the course or program of studies that you intend to pursue.

My background:
I have a bachelor of science in electrical engineering( graduated month ago), and I have an acceptance letter from the university of Waterloo in M.Eng Electrical and computer engineering, and I clearly presented my purpose in the LTE which is to get a PhD in my field from the USA in the future. I have an overall band score of 7 in IELTS. I have enough experience in my field during my internship. Regarding to the financial documents, I showed them a financial guarantee with around 30000 Us dollar and a letter from my sponsor. Moreover, I think I proved enough ties to my home country(Yemen) like my father's house and family ties. By the way, I am from Yemen, but I was born in Saudi Arabia and I currently live there.

Can someone please help me with this application and give me some insights.

i have some questions so we can understand your application :
1- what is exactly is your experience. is it paid experience? (non paid internship is not considered strong experience)
2- is your father who is sponsoring you?
3- is the bank statement the only prove you submitted?
4- what's your travel history?
5- did you prove any ties to Saudi Arabia (like business or family or job), not Yemen?
6- did you submit your KSA permanent residence along the application? also your family members permanent residence?

1- what is exactly is your experience. is it paid experience? (non paid internship is not considered strong experience)

I worked as a research assistant at the faculty before I graduated from college( I did't provide proof for this in my application because I didn't want to over-document my application), I also have some experience from one of Siemens's labs and got two certificates from Siemens company. Moreover, I worked as an electrical engineer in a maintenance center for scientific equipment(non paid Internship).

2- is your father who is sponsoring you?
No, it's a scholarship from an organization.

3- is the bank statement the only prove you submitted?
financial guarantee and the letter from the organization were only submitted.

4- what's your travel history?
I only visited Yemen twice and they were Way long time ago

5- did you prove any ties to Saudi Arabia (like business or family or job), not Yemen?
I did not prove any ties to Saudi Arabia because my family moved to Yemen recently. However, all my ties are currently in Yemen, and that's what I tried to prove( Father's personal house+ Family members)

6- did you submit your KSA permanent residence along the application? also your family members permanent residence?
Saudi Arabia does not give permanent residence to anybody, they only provide temporary residence and that is what I submitted in my application.

Thank u for your reply.

Hi,

I would suggest to full up the below form and request the refusal points from Canadian Embassy.

Here, is the form: https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en

They will forward you the actual reason why the visa was rejected and then you can fill the papers accordingly.
