Work Permit Renewal & Expired Passport

I am a protected person and my open work permit will expire on March..i have applied for my PR but still o process so i have to renew my work permit..but unfortunately, my passport got expired last august and my passport was seized by the immigration after applying for a refugee..the problem now is i cant validate the form..

Put the expiry date same day and month, but change the year to 2020. It should work with no problems, I’ve done multiple times & it was fine.

did you attached an explanation letter as well? did you do it online or by mail?

No I didn’t attach any explanation letter. I did it online.

Nothing for you to worry about. You should get a new work permit.

coz i phoned last monday and they keep telling me to apply it through mail..but my worry is it takes too long plus there is no difference..i cant validate it anyway..so why do i have to mail it right?

Yeah i know, just do it online & do what I told you, you should be fine.

you can also go to service canada or caci. they know your status so they have a special way of doing things.
