PR- received. Spouse ECA in Canada or India?

Hello,
We've received our PR for Canada under Express Entry. We live in India. We will be travelling to Canada at the end of March. During the visa application process, we didn't get my husband's ECA done as it wasn't required at the time. But now that we are moving to Canada it is needed.

I wanted to ask if we should collect his docs and send them for assessment to WES now or wait to get to Canada to do it? Will is save us time if we do it there because from my ECA evaluation experience I remember the process took 6-8 weeks.

Oh, okay. So you're saying they'll be fine with his India Degree? Wouldn't need to see how that compares to a Canadian Degree?

Unless you are just fresh out of school, employers will generally focus more on your past work experiences.

Ah, okay. thanks for clearing that up. Would my hubby need some letters of recommendation from clients? Is thistsomething employers look at in Canada? My hubby is self employed. he has his a business here in India.

In case he wants to enrol in a part time course. Would he need the ECA for that? If so, where do you recommend he get it assessed? India or Canada?

It depends, most of the colleges recognize back home degree's so I don't think you really have to get Evaluation done at this time.
