same, here Received AOR on 29 December 2019. thanks and good luck. I have not heard anything from CIC.Hi everyone, should we expect MEP at end of December? I got aor on Nov 29.
I'm not sure that's accurate. I haven't seen anything indicating that some exchange rate is "locked in" on AOR. We have to have $X CAD all the way up until landing. Canada only cares about CAD, not USD or INR or anything else.Funds are held in INR however in POF I have submitted funds in INR as well as equivalent CAD ..
So I think conversion rate will apply..
But as you pointed out that the rate on the date of AOR will apply then I'm safe I think.. there wasn't big difference at that time..
the number starting with CAN## is a temporary UCI number which is assigned once you submit your application. If they changed from CAN## TO DIGITS then it means they have started your background check or initial processing. How's it good thing??
I didn't notice previous UCI but I think it began with CAN.. But now it begins with number only as stated above..!
UCI is called unique identification number. it is like an ID number assigned to each person in canadian database, irrespective of their application or visa status. they assign UCI number when they create an entry in canadian database.why would you say that?
CANXX.. UCI number is now updated to the one that I have on my Work Permit. Similarly for my wife whose Work Permit was refused last year, her UCI is updated to the one she had in her refusal letter.
I understand UCI, my question was - 'It’s a good thing' as in? does it specify any stage/action..UCI is called unique identification number. it is like an ID number assigned to each person in canadian database, irrespective of their application or visa status. they assign UCI number when they create an entry in canadian database.
yes, your wife and everyone will have the same number irrespective of anything. thats how they identify each applicant.
YaY!! that's my assumptionthe number starting with CAN## is a temporary UCI number which is assigned once you submit your application. If they changed from CAN## TO DIGITS then it means they have started your background check or initial processing.
That means its good thing
I was once in a Walmart in Ohio, buying alcohol. The cashier had to get her manager to verify that a passport was a valid proof of age because SHE HAD LITERALLY NEVER SEEN ONEIt's extremely common for US Citizens to not even have a passport.
I would concur with this. I did my medical December 2nd. My ITA was Dec 12th, AOR December 19th. Still nothing yet, so i'd say it's all about AOR.On second thought, I think it doesn't matter when the med info is submitted.
Because the IRCC views all applications by AOR. The info will already be there when the IRCC opens my application.
People who work at Walmart don't make very much money. They're very unlikely to be world travelers, and as such, very unlikely to have a passport. You don't need any ID to travel between states (you do for driving but each state's ID is honored in the other states for that).I was once in a Walmart in Ohio, buying alcohol. This thread is for people who have gotten an Invitation to Apply (ITA), submitted an application and had the application successfully Acknowledged (AOR, hence the title).Hi all,
After getting our 600 points from BC PNP Express Entry, we applied for Federal Express entry on Dec 5 with overall score of around 1010. Today we got a message in our IRCC inbox. It says
Final decision Your application was cancelled because it was incomplete. Check your messages below for details.
When I click on the help icon (?),however, it says
If you see that your application was cancelled, it means that before we made a final decision, we:
- made a mistake and had to recreate your application
- found that you do not need the status/document you applied for.
If you think we should not have cancelled your application, let us know by using the IRCC webform.
On the other hand, the inbox has that a pdf in it that says:
We have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of a complete application as described in sections 10 and 12.01 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations. Your application is rejected for being incomplete. Specifically, your application does not include the following elements: - Police Certificate: o The Police certificate from .......(my wife's home country)........was not provided. This document is required based on address/background history from 2008/12/05 to 2016/02/06. It appears you resided six months or more in a row in that country. NOTE: You did not provide a letter of explanation and proof of submission for this Police Certificate. Police certificates need to be a scan of the original police certificate(s) in colour. Certified true copies and unauthorized copies are unacceptable and will result in the application being rejected as incomplete.
This is very weird because we uploaded our police certificate. The date (2008/12/05 to 2016/02/06) is also strange because my wife came to Canada 3 years ago and she has gone back to her home country only one time for one month(last summer).
Does anyone has any idea what the messages mean and what we should do?
Thanks
No, we got invited and got the AOR and submitted our documents in Dec 5.This thread is for people who have gotten an Invitation to Apply (ITA), submitted an application and had the application successfully Acknowledged (AOR, hence the title).
It appears you are in the pre-ITA phase. I suggest you make a new thread in the Express Entry forum.
