I'm a US citizen being sponsored by my spouse.

Here's my timeline:

Application received – 09/10/2018
AOR received – 12/17/2018
Medical Exam Request – 01/04/2019
Spouse received approved letter of eligibility as sponsor – 01/04/2019
Medical exam appointment – 01/15/2019. I was told it will take up to 10 days to process the results and submit it to IRCC, assuming there are no abnormalities. I made and completed the appointment while in Vancouver, BC since I'm currently here visiting.

At this point, I'm still unable to link my account online. Good luck, everyone!
Our timelines are almost the same , only 4 days apart on medical request . My husband and the children did their medicals today , the doctor said they send out right away via emedical

I’m just wondering if we need to send the receipts to cic? Doctor in Dominican Republic uses emed, but also provided my husband with receipts of some sort which included what tests were administered . Not sure what to do

You don't need to do anything. Physician is responsible to send everything.

Fantastic ! I figured that was just proof they did the medicals and what tests were administered. It looked very official so I started to second guess myself . I will keep them as proof just in case . Thank you so much for your reply

Might be due to the GCKey status. Mine recently changed to "We are processing your background check", even without medical request. Not sure whether it is a mistake or anything...
Hello,
My BGC line also says that and no medical request yet. I guess I am not the only one.

Hey guys, need some help here please. My application was returned to my wife and it said the "P.A" needs to submit birth certificates for all family members of they will or will not accompany me to Canada. I have a daughter from my previous marriage.

Can anyone share some knowledge I'm this or if they had a similar experience..

Did you include your daughter in the application ? You need to provide her birth certificate as well she will need to complete a medical.

How do you know they started her background check?
Im not quite sure but the police record check we originally submitted was expired, so immigration asked for the latest copy. After submitting that, three weeks later they asking for medical examination. But from what I'm reading on other post police record check and baxkground check are completely different section.

Yes she was included, however the she won't accompany me, does she still have to do a medical?
Yes she does, my step daughter is not coming either however she did the medical. It was a fight to get mom to comply but we got it done.

Do you know where are they processing your app?

Still no SA here...126 days and counting. (31 days since AOR). No idea what could be taking so long. It should be a routine application.
One thing caught my attention though. When I received AOR on Dec. 17th, I was able to link to GcKey and ECAS right away on the same day.
But this is what confused me. Under "View the applications you submitted" it reads:
App type: Permanent Residency
App # : F000******
Applicant Name: M.K.
Date submitted: December 18th
Current Status: Submitted
Messages - None
Action: Check Full App Status

What do they mean by "submitted Dec 18th"? What does everyone else's status say?
If anyone can shed some light, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

That’s the date when you linked your application on Gckey
