Hi guys, I just called IRCC, after 38 minutes waiting I got ahold with a really nice guy who checked my application. I am a September 19 applicant and he said everything seems good in my file and that I should get my OWP in the next few weeks. I really thought I was gonna get it by this week and I still positive about it after he said everything looks good on my application and I don't have to be worried about the fact that they started reviewing my application and I still didn't get the answer.

Just logged into my GCKey and work permit application has changed to "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements." - September 28 applicant here

That's great. I am also Sept 28th but I wasn't able to link my account. So I wont know until I get an email or call CIC. Hopefully it gets approved by tomorrow.

Hi,

for inland spousal sponsorship- did anyone fill out the work permit application? if so, did you need a job offer?

You don't need a job offer. You can just apply to change conditions, so you apply for PR sponsorship (in-land) & work permit at the same time. Or you can apply for work permit after you submit your PR application.

Thank you very much.

Question for those who have received the physical Work Permit: Does it indicate that it’s through a Spousal Sponsorship, or simply Open Work Permit?

Hi! I'm an October applicant, but I like to get an idea of how the process is going by looking at this thread.

For those of you who have received the OWP by now, how long did it take them to send by postal mail from the moment you received approval by email/myCIC/ecas?

Also for those who have received the OWP, would you say it took the average amount of time? or more/less?

Thanks and good luck to all

does the application for OWP after submitting the PR application have the same timeline as the one with application with the PR?
