hi i have a question need some help please
i live in Toronto i have gotten the date to write my test
and its all the way in ( Alberta ) i'm kinda lost as to why they would send me all the way there
if i do write them to explain that i do not live in Alberta and don't have the funds to travel there
to write the test will they send me to a location in Toronto ?

I would call them right away. There must be some adminstrative error.

I am able to reach IRCC at 1-888-242-2100 on my third attempt. The agent told me that the communication that was supposed to be sent on Jan12 (according to online status) was cancelled. The next communication was sent on Jan14 according to their system.
If their system doesn't show as "email", then it can be email or postal. So, we need to continue to check both.

The best part is, he also confirmed me the Oath date/time and location. Also told me that even if I don't receive any invitation letter before the oath date, I can join the venue with all the required documents and attend the oath. He sent me an email with the list of required documents.

You guys can call and know your respective Oath location and required docs and be prepared for the day.

My Ecas is just updated with another line for Oath invitation on February 2nd, 2019

So folks, a 5th line has been added to my ECAS to take oath on February 2nd but I haven't received any email or postal mail. So my question is - those of you who already got the oath invitation, did you guys get an E-mail to take the oath or a regular postal mail?

Also, what was your preferred way of communication with IRCC? E-mail or regular postal mail?

thanks. I did not receive any email yet. I will just wait until the final confirmation email.
and yes I am Toronto applicant.

Thank paul84 for your detailed reply. So they can still send postal mails for oath invitation even though all communications have been through emails.
I'll give them a call to find out if I don't receive any mail this week.

About the location, I am guessing it will be the same place where you have taken the test. So it's either Scarborough or Mississauga based on which side of the city you live.

Sure, i will keep you informed. I did my test in Scarborough. I don't think CIC will hold ceremonies on the same day at two different locations within GTA. It could be either in Mississauga or Scarborough. Does your ECAS has any information about the Location?

My ecas changed today:
We sent you a notice on January 15, 2019 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on February 2, 2019 at 9:00 AM. The notice you will receive will be your official confirmation of your appointment.

But I didnt receive any email yet.
