What is an AOR? (OPNP PR paper based application)

Hi guys,

Everyone is talking about AOR. I am just wondering what is an AOR? Is it a letter send by mail or email?

I am a OPNP PR paper based applicant.
I checked my process here https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do and it says:

1. We received your application for permanent residence on July 30, 2018.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on September 18, 2018.
3. We started processing your application on September 18, 2018.

I know that my AOR should be Sep18,2018.

However, I don't know if CIC would sent you a official AOR letter by mail or email? If so, what is the title and what does the letter look like?

PS I received an email says
"This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) on 2018/07/30" and another one come after this to let me link my account online. Are any of those AOR?

Appreciate if anyone share some information. Thank you.

This is your AOR. It should contain a file number.

you got any update on your case? can you submit your timeline? not too many OPNP PR cases on the forum.

I received the same email. Was just wondering if this can be used to apply for BOWP
