Hi, I'm in the process of applying for super visa for my mom, I applied on behalf of my parents last year but have to withdrawn my mom's application due to certain circumstances. My father's super visa got approved.

However after completing the questionnaire on my CIC account, now it shows I'm only allowed to apply visitor visa for my mom. Does anyone has experience in this area, did the immigration department changed anything?

Thanks in advance!

Super visa is a type of visitor visa. I'm assuming you selected 'Temporary stay more than 6 months'

Hi Bryanna, thank you for the clarification! Yes I just discovered it's actually in the same visa process type as temporary resident visa. It's been a year and I forgot most of the process ;)

Hi I have a question: Since I am applying on behalf of my parents I have some confusion in filling out the applicaiton.

When I login to the CIC account it asks me questions whether I want to apply for super visa. So basically I am filling out as if I am the applicant (i.e my parents). is there a place where I can mention that I am the sponseror or do I have to fill out the application as if I am the parent who is applying for it ?

Hi Alokuk692, you'll have to fill out the form as if you were your parents. e.g. when mentioning relationship you'll have to write son/daughter instead of parents. Basically put yourself into your parents' shoes.

Hi! I just want to confirm that you filled out all the forms on behalf your parents right? As if you are the parent itself?
Also did you log into your's (sponsor's) CIC account, where you filled out all the information and submitted?

Hi @Drizzy, yeah you fill out the form as if you are your parent (main applicant). I used my own account and have my parents to sign a form to authorize me as representative.

Hope this helps.

Based on your reply you can apply for a super visa on behalf of your parents (online I assume?). I am a PR holder living in Canada and was asking the same question. How was your expe

Hello. I am about to apply for a super visa on behalf of my parents. I am a PR holder living in Canada and was wondering if applying on behalf of my parents in Canada is possible. I ask this question because in the cic it says that "You must also: apply for a super visa from outside Canada" (link: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/parent-grandparent-super-visa/eligibility.html)

Hola @jykl608, if I understand correctly your parents are already in Canada? My situation is bit different since my parents are still back in home country and they conducted medical exam in home country as well, but I'd think you should still be able to apply in your case. I did apply through online service, you'll have to answer eligibility questionnaire to get to the actual application page.
