Spousal sponsorship

My wife lives with me here in Canada as a Visitor and her status expires in April of this year.I am almost done with the documentation and will apply for her PR via family class -spousal sponsorship this week.

The processing time is around 10-12 months and technically she has to leave the country by end of April.If she leaves the country the application will be void.

What are my options here?

Apply for visitor visa extension or are there any other ways ?

Please advise.Any help would be appreciated

submit inland spousal sponsorship + OWP now when she has status and also at the same time apply for visitor visa extension to be safe and keep her to remain in status and just in case the sponsorship is returned and needs to be re-submitted.......if the OWP is received when she has status, the OWP when approved will grant her implied status and she could live in Canada until the sponsorship is approved......for inland sponsorship your wife must be living with you in Canada and advised to remain in Canada while the sponsorship is been processed.......useful inland sponsorship timelines..

AOR within 3 months
OWP within 4 months
PR visa within 12 months
