I have submitted my PCC of my home country with application and now they need RCMP PCC because its six month stay in canada. so they need for that.. until then my application is resumed.. I called CIC and they also said its part of process. Waiting OWP... Dont know this will delay OWP or NOT

If you have your application number for the OWP you can call IRCC 1 888 242 2100, then follow the steps for information about work permit (in French de sequence is 1 1 1, then anwsering the personal questions and after listening to the indications you can choose to hear the status of your application and it will read you what would be written in myCIC...

Hi! I’ve got the same request. I submitted the PCC from my home country and they requested the RCMP this morning and I’ve just done it. They definitely are waiting for this to resume your application. It was very easy and fast.

Thank you... I'm just confused with 1 thing. On my account, OWP received it says Sept. 12, but PR says Sept. 19. Which date do you think is right for OWP?
I'm concerned that I haven't received the OWP yet, given that I see almost everyone on Sept. 12 has received their OWPs.

Yeah, it is a system default and a registry error by CIC. Mine also shows received on Sep 5 (7 days ahead) when my applications were mailed out on Sep 10 and received on Sep 12.

In your case, your OWP was received along with your PR application on Sep 19 so no need to be concerned as you can see on the timelines that no one from Sep 19th received theirs yet. It just proves that CIC works in mysterious ways sometimes and there is nothing we can do until it hits the 4-month mark.

In my case, I am Sep 12 applicant and I still haven't received my OWP approval yet. Hopefully tomorrow... crossing my fingers

How long does your owp expire?

It be expiring in 2 years (from the date of approval) or the expiry date of your passport, whichever comes first.
