A very good news from me.

Got passport request for my Son.

Below are the timelines. It seems to quicker than expected. May be because I have another in process application for extending visitor permit.

AOR1 3-Dec-18
Sponsorship Approval 4-Dec-18
Medical Request 4-Dec-18
Medicals completed 7-Dec-18
Sent to Visa Office (AOR2) 11-Dec-18
Medicals Received 14-Dec-18
Passport request 27-Dec-18

Was the case sent to NVO for processing? Are you submitting the passport in Canada itself for processing?

It was sent to Mississauga Visa Office. Yes, I sent the passport in Canada itself.

I am planning to sponsor my new born child.

If approved, what would be the validity for the Child's PR visa for initial entry.

When I got my PR stamped, it was valid for one year from the date of Medical tests. Will it be the same for dependent child.

Same with yours. My daughter's PR card was valid for 1year from the date of medical test. Was same for all of us.

My son’s application was now in Manila Visa Office, they requested for Schedule A (personal history) again. Would it be possible to get a PPR after we submit the schedule A request? His medical will expire in February 2019. We have been waiting for almost 13 months now...
