Some of us got emails of files transfer to NDVO, but as you said no updates whatsoever since mid DEC last year. It is sad part. :(
True. There are no updates since quite some time now. Hoping to get flourish of updates this week as the offices resume work now. It is hopeless to hope but still hoping (awaiting DM soon hence hoping :p)

Hello!

We received an update in GCKey today that file will be transferred to NDVO. Background check had already started in Nov. So, what should we be expecting next? No update on ecas about file transfer.

Please note these are entirely my views and my assumption.
Guys,
Here is my theory of why Most June applicants and July will not get any early response as we are expecting in January.

- If we look at the apps till May, CIC process was very streamlined that means AOR1 in 3-4 weeks and file transfer to NDVO in another month. When these files were transferred to New Delhi my assumption is NDVO start bgc by outsourcing it to an agency, which roughly takes another 3 - 4 months or even longer in some cases. When that external agency submits positive report NDVO takes next step pre-arrival, DM and PPR.

- Now lets take example of May applicants, whose file was transfered in Aug/Sept period which means that external agency has completed BGC by Dec that is why majority of May is completed in December.

- Now coming to June/July applicants I myself is in a same boat. We guys were not lucky to have early fiel transfered. Infact our file was
transferred to NDVO in Dec. That means that external agency started its work in Dec and god knows how much that take for each of our cases. So according to this NDVO have no chance to give any decision for jun/July 2017 in this months. It will be still a long journey.

Yes this is good idea but it also takes a month to get GCMS notes if MP does inquiry then they respond fast
Yea but MP's not will have 2-3-4 lines, while a GCMS will have all notes made by all on file

May i know if you get any update for file transfer on ECAS as well? Or is it only email?

Hello,

We got an update yesterday saying file "will be transferred to New Delhi" and today ECAS got updated with "We sent XXXXXXXXXX a letter on... Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us." So, is there any way to know if the file has already been transferred? Basically, how much time does it take to transfer file from Mississauga to NDVO?

Well, I sent my wife's application on April 19, 2018 and we got Pre-arrival on Dec 18, 2018 and no updates yet. However, I see many people getting DM or other updates within a week or so after they get Pre-arrival...so I am hoping to hear something soon...
