Hello everyone!
My spouse and I are planning to apply for PR via FSW express entry. We both have over 450 CRS points individually and as a joint application. However, due to a change in work situation (I recently signed a 3 year contract with significant pay bump), I was planning to make a short landing and return to Canada on short visits before returning permanently after my contract ends.
My concern is that with my spouse residing in Canada, my foreign income will be taxed as a Canadian resident. I am therefore considering becoming a non-accompanying spouse and later either directly applying for express entry or as part of a spousal sponsorship. This will likely mean that I will need to get a visitor visa.
Any thoughts on my dilemma or suggestions would be welcome!!
Thank you in advance for all the knowledge I have gained in these forums!!
