Hello it's me again I don't have my hearing date yet but I'm just thinking about other plans I can take In case Canada refuse my request for asylum so this friend of mine she's willing to get married with me so I can stay in Canada in case I have a negative decision, so I'm wondering, do I get my PR immediately? How long do I have to be married to not lose my PR? Do the couples pass any sort of background check

Well, that’s marriage fraud and a criminal offence and IRCC would dig deep into your relationsip to determine if it’s genuine. Yes they do background checks and no you don’t get your PR immediately. If your friend is a PR she is also risking her status if they find she committed misrepresentation ( because a lie like that is a criminal offence in Canada).

Perhaps you should consider plan C.

That's marriage fraud. Assume you will be caught and refused - and likely banned from Canada for 5 years for misrepresentation.

Yes - of course there are background checks for spousal applications. IRCC checks to make sure the relationship is genuine. You can expect they will look at your application even more closely given your status in Canada.

Committing a crime isn't a good plan B.
