Mother's name change document

Hi

I am the primary candidate and my birth certificate has my mothers before marrige name and my passport has her after marriage name. Will I need to get a new birth certificate with her present name? Also, will I need a affidavit to prove the same?
Do we need to produce mothers document as well especially when there is a legal name change. I am not sure as I am a single primary applicant and declaring her name change is required in my case or no.
Would be great if someone can advise on the same.

Yes, this is from express entry. Once ITA is received, do I need to declare that mothers name was change? Because her new name is in my passport now and the old name was just in my birth certificate.

Thanks a lot. But does that mean, I don't even have to declare that her name was changed? logically I don't even see any of her documents needed to be part of my profile.
Please correct me if I am wrong?

If you still want to be super safe, no harm submitting a name change affidavit for her and explain in LOE. But I wouldn't complicate my application doing that.

Yes, she has her passport with her changed name and the same is in my passport as well. I am confused whether to keep quite about declaring it as it shouldn't look like I am trying to hide some information and on the other hand like u mentioned, don't even want to complicate the application. Not sure what's the best way out.

I am not sure if it will ease your mind, I was in similar situation and for me, my mother's passport has different last name than what's on mine . I didn't submit any affidavit since my passport was the only doc I was submitting in my application. If you are still in doubt, go ahead and submit the extra doc regarding her name change. It shouldn't negatively impact your application.

Sounds Good, I think I should go ahead with the same. If passport is the only document needed for me, it already has her present name and that's what is required.
