Date of POF letter

Hi,
At what date can I generate the proof of funds letter from bank? Can I have it generated and ready before the ITA come?
I am currently waiting for my WES to come and will submit my application after that. Then wait for the ITA to submit my final documents. All the other documents for submission is ready. So wondering if I can have the pof letter generated now?

If you can procure the letter easily, I would suggest to get it close to submission of the application after ITA.

I would love to do that but I need to know if there is a cut of date rule. I will be in a vacation for a month outside Canada and I can submit my application from outside Canada if I have all the documents ready.

They need 'current' balance so it should be the most recent.

There is no specific cut-off date per se, however, it is recommended for it to be as close as possible to the AoR.

Thanks for the information. One more thing... is the pof letter a mandatory document if I have a valid job offer and have a 1+ experience working in Canada currently.

Which category are you applying from? FSW or CEC?

No official rule as such,
I would suggest getting the PoF letter generated in the same week that you are submitting your application in
PoF is needed only if you ar applying as a FSW or PNP. CEC are not required to show the PoF

CEC. I have been working here in Toronto for over a year now on Work Permit in Type A job. I already obtained the job offer letter from my company as well.

In my knowledge, the CEC applicants are exempted from showing PoF.

Yes, as close as possible to your submission would be ideal. However, I applied for my POF letters immediately on receiving ITA as I foresaw issues with obtaining them. There were issues, and I complained, and I actually received POF letters but they are dated end of December and I'm not going to be in a position to submit my application until the end of January (my medical is 26th January). I'm hoping it isn't a problem and that the letters will be accepted as they were obtained within the 60 day period.
