MyCIC had an update for me today. It says my background check is in progress (was not applicable before).

I’m same day as you ... the only change I had was the “we start processing your application December 19 that’s it ...

My application was received on April 27, started processing May 30. Medicals completed end of Sep. It just changed background check to in progress yesterday. Getting closer to the end!

Anyone have a time guesstimate of how long after your status changes to 'background check in progress' it takes until you get your CoPR? I've heard people say generally 4 months after your medical you get CoPR. Any ideas? I'm about two months out since my medical was passed and I know I just need to be patient but I'm just so ready for some sort of update and good news.

We are going on 3 months since medical passed with no updates. Not even background in progress. While i have seen others around same timeline and after who are getting AIP and some before me who still have nothing. It seems to be all over the place right now but from what ive seen....its generally AROUND the 4 month mark. Some earlier or later than others.

It’s been ten months since my husband passed his medical. We received pre-arrival in mid-October but background check still has not started. In seven weeks we will hit the 12 months mark since we have sent our application in.

My background status finally changed from not applicable to “bg check in progress...”!
I am just so jealous some people are getting their AIP already and I am still on the bg check, it seems like I might use the 12 months

Ok. Ty and congrats. Still waiting 4 ours 2 change. We are April 13 also. Got med request Oct 3 but couldn't do it till Oct 17. I wonder if im behind people with same app recieved date cuz our medical was sent in a bit later
Most people were doing it in a matter of days but it took us 2 weeks to get an appt
