Hi,

I need change the NOC code of two of my jobs after I have got my ITA but I haven’t submitted the application yet. I’m just wanting a confirmation if this is okay so long as I’m writing a LOE as to why and also the fact it does not effect my points? I’m also changing my primary occupation as I thought it had to be my most recent but actually it should be the job I held for a whole year.

Has anyone had any experience with this? I’m worried it will mean they will reject it even though my points won’t change?

Thanks!

You can change it. Be very carefull when you make changes. If any one of them is your primary noc then change the primary noc and work noc same time before saving otherwise your profile will be ineligible and you will lose the ITA.

Example- Suppose you have a work noc which is also your primary noc, now you have changed the work noc but forgot to change primary noc and saved the change; system will find you do not have minimum one year work experience in your primary noc. Your profile will become ineligible for ever.

Good Luck!

@ishq74 Congrats on your PPR.
Am in a dilemma with my eAPR application to CIC and need your urgent help.
I have obtained Provincial Nomination earlier and had my ITA in December, 2018
In my Express Entry FSW Category, my NOC is 2243 - Industrial Instrument Technician as my Primary NOC.
However, due to occupation in demand for MPNP, my primary NOC is not available but I applied with a close alternative NOC 2241 - Electronic Electrical Technician with job responsibilities related to my primary NOC 2243. The two NOC is under Skill Category B and MPNP issued the Nomination certificate with NOC 2241
Now my query is, Post ITA, the Primary NOC on my PR application is showing NOC 2243, I want to ask if I should maintain this NOC 2243 and keep Work NOC as 2243 or Must i can change both Primary NOC and Work NOC to align with NOC 2241 on my PNP Nomination Certificate.
Please, note that the Employment Reference Letter I used for the MPNP has Job Titles as NOC 2243 with overlapping job duties as NOC 2241.

Yes you should change your NOCs to align with PNC. You can use the same letter because job title does not matter but job duties should match the selected NOC lead statement and substantial number of main duties. By the way if it is your current job then you should get an updated letter for EE.

Good Luck!
