POF - need advice

Hi Folks,

Kindly advice me for Proof of funds :

My wife is primary applicant, she has no funds on her name. We are 3 memebers in family and need to show around 19000 dollars.
I have approximately 15000 on my name, so left with 4000$, suggest me the ways i can go for proof of funds.

I am worried as there are no funds on her name, all are on my name and stilllacks 4k dollars.

Kindly suggest the way out.
Looking for experts advice urgently.

Gift deed from your parents or in-laws could be one way of adding the $4000
Since you are the secondary applicant with funds in your name, you need to provide a signed letter from your side to your wife stating that she has access to these funds at all times along with the other documents such bank letter stating the avg balance etc

What is the process for gift deed, how i can prove it ? What are the documents I need for this?

Thanks but tell me like my i want show my fathers fd of Rs 5 lakhs, so I have to transfer that fd to my name ist and then make this affidavit to support gift deed ?

Means he transfers rs 5 lakh from his account to me and then i show this affidavit ?

Cant i share his fd with his name and a affidavit of support of funds and no issue in using from my father , please suggest.

The money in principal has to be either in your wife’s name or your name(since you are the secondary applicant accompanying her on the PR application).
If you are showing it as FD, it has to be encashable at any time.

Fd has maturity date and it is implied that we can break fd at any time.. Correct me if I am wrong, so Fds can be shown as a proof.

Yes FDs can be shown as POF but as I said it has to be under the name of you or your wife and should be readily encashable
