Hi all,

I have been getting updates thru the toll free number, i haven't been successful in contacting an agent so i just rely on the voice prompt updates. But Today, i could not even get thru to the voice updates. After putting in my application number etc. it keeps saying "We are unable to find your application in the system"

Anyone else with the same problem????

I have less than 30 days left til i hit the 6 month mark

Hi all,
Outland(India)
AOR 12TH AUG
MEDICAL PASSED 26TH AUG
ADR 30th aug and the same request again on 23rd oct. No movement after that and I have applied through an agent so cant check the account too.
Been waiting for the ppr like everyone else here and quiet desperate for the same.
Can anyone provide the cic number on which I can call and check the status of my file maybe? Also, would they just need the EE number to give the details or something else too?
What was the ADR for ?

I guess there aren't any restrictions to posting in the aug aor group if I have submitted my application in Dec. I asked this query just so you guys might be knowing it. Anyways thanks.
Buddy, be a little more patient.. Join any group you want and start a wait for 6 months. If you get it before that.... Dance with joy. We are waiting from August to do the Tango...

Congrats.... It was just yesterday when we were discussing the crowd in Park Hyd and the reason for worrying... You see, the worry starts when a same application gets PPR and yours is stuck... (I know every file is different Cra**) .. Yours give us some hope... Good Luck.

1. My status did not change accurately online. The only change I ever saw was “medical passed”. After that it was in the status “we will let you know when your background check starts” till the very end when I got my PPR. Quite clearly, this meant that my background check had started but didn’t show online.

2. I never ordered GCMS notes. I am strongly of the opinion that one should order them only if 6 months have passed and you still haven’t got a result. The normal processing time is 6 months. Why unnecessarily waste the time of the CIC in generating and providing notes when you are well within the processing time? As such, agents/visa officers are limited and their workload is increasing. Burdening staff with these additional requests universally slows down the process for everyone.

3. Even my online status, I didn’t check every day. I had applied through a lawyer. When you do this, you don’t have access to your MyCIC account. Only your lawyer does. I only got to know my online status once a week. I had considered calling the CIC when I saw absolutely no movement on my account past medical passed. But the day I decided to call, I got my PPR. So I ended up not calling.

4. I have said this before and I will say it again- because in my opinion, this is the most important thing: Don’t check your account all the time and obsess over “ghost updates”. It is simply not worth it. Some people stop living their normal lives - they get obsessed with their application and it’s status and check it like 10 times a day. That’s just not a good thing and it’ll give you nothing. If they have said it takes 6 months, give it 6 months. The panic should set in only after that point. Not before that.
Most people , and I mean it, most people dont losse it until something unusual happens. You got approval in roughly 3.5 Months. Easy peasy.. But the panic starts, when you are moved to an advance stage (read IP2) and wait there, and see people pass the same phase in matter of days.
GCMS, CSE are supposed to be tools to fish out some (on the mercy of CIC) info, if at all.

Hey all,

Just dropped by to say goodbye. I just received my passport back today - and this probably marks the completion of my PR journey. I wish all the VERY best to all of you who are still waiting and I wish and hope you will all get your PRs soon too! I will try to check in on the thread once in a while if there's any questions I see where I can shed light.

All the very best to you all and I hope you all get great news in 2019!
why did it take over 2 months to get your passports back post PPR?
