Good luck! I hope it's smooth sailing for you guys.

Yeah, we didn't know how long the process is, so we decided to apply without the ITA. We will re-apply with it if we get rejected. Thanks for the help!

The most frustrating aspect of this is that there's no way to document their reasons for refusing to provide the PCC for the entire stay, like you said. And their reasons don't make a lot of sense either.

Hi guys, finally i also took my PCC from the FRRO. I had reapplied on 19th of Sept. and since it was taking long (more than a week to be processed) i decided to go and check myself.
Seeing me there they did the PCC in the moment, but again not for the full stay, only since my last visa date (eventhough i had exited India for a month now in August). Sgrv, if you will have any problem (which i hope you won't) visit this guy in counter number 9 where the afgani offices are (inside FRRO). He knows and has given pcc to many foreigners he said, he did mine, and you can talk to him regarding the duration you want to be mentioned in the pcc, though he said last 6 months can be enough. Good luck guys.

Quick question - does the PCC mention your address on it?

We did it after ita and submitted the ita letter. At worst, they`ll reject you (and you can apply again after ita). Hard to say about the duration however, i have a feeling that they routinely give it for stay since last arrival only, that also if you have stayed in IN for at least 6 ish months, but you may be able to go to them in person and probably get a solution. Hard to say.
We obviously did not have the best experience or outcome, but so far so good. 56 days and going, application has not been rejected.
I just wanted to ask you a quick question - does the PCC you received mention your address on it?

no it does not mention any address, just my visa number and my registration with FRRO number.
the purpose of issuing the certificate and the validity of the certificate (just three months after being issued)

Hello Anie, Thanks for valuable information sharing it on this forum. I am an OCI with Canadian passport. I would like to have PCC for getting employment visa in Kuwait, just wondering how can I obtain PCC in India? I am currently on business visa based in Saudi for the past three months, since it is multiple entry business visa I can't obtain PCC from Saudi Arabia. I would really appreciate you guidance.

You can obtain a visa from india only if you are registered in the frro here and have continually staied here more then six months since your registration.
Luckily i had my stay visa still valid (eventhough i had just got OCI) they granted me the pcc.
Have you staied in India?when and for how long?

Thank you for prompt response. I am yet to register with frro and I didn't stay for six months in India (I have been on/off even though my family stays in India).

For your case you can not get it from India, you should approach an indian mission/embassy where you are currently staying. Go there with your OCI and they will give it to you. If indian embassy in kuwait won’t give it you can try through indian embassy in canada then since you are resident there as well. Thats what i know for OCI holders staying abroad.

My wife is a foreign national, we applied online just yesterday. We requested it for the entire duration of her stay in India (since February). However, she left the country twice in-between, for five days each time. I hope that will not present a problem.

We are expecting to receive an ITA soon, so we did not submit the "letter from embassy/mission". Instead, we wrote a letter saying that they recommend we apply as soon as possible. Did you do it after you received your ITA and you submitted it?
Quick update that might be helpful for folks from the future. They reached out to us online in a few days after applying and asked for my ID details since I am the foreigner's spouse and an Indian citizen. I submitted a scanned copy of my passport online, and we received the PCC 8 days from the date of application. It is for the entirety of the duration we had requested, and the fact that my wife took two short trips abroad did not present a problem. We also didn't submit the ITA when we applied, we just included a letter saying CIC recommended that we apply for a PCC as soon as possible.

To support the update, i also took my husband with me (he is indian national) at the FRRO and requested again to do the pcc for my entire stay not half of it. They checked online my first stay visa issued till date and despite the fact i have left the country in between they gave pcc for full stay.

@ranjangaur4 @anie25 hey guys, just checking in to see if you faced any problems after submitting the PCC from the FRRO. I'm about to submit the PR application, and I'm wondering if I need to explain in the LOE section about why we got it from the FRRO and not the police station as mentioned on CIC's website.

Also, the PCC we got from the FRRO the first time will expire in ten days, so we got another one. This one has a different format, contains the address, and says "this is a computer generated document and does not require a stamp/signature" and therefore does not have a signature. There is a FRRO stamp on it though. They said the format is different now and it will be accepted everywhere. Hope it will be fine.

Hey, guys who already have experienced of obtaining PCC from Delhi FRRO and submitted. Need advices.

I am foreigner and I've been staying in India for quite long time. I applied online PCC multiple times, but what i get is partial period from overall my stay or closure of ticket without any action.

My situation is...I have lived multiple state here, but only Delhi NCR.
Initially, I got PCC for my current address as they can verify the recent one, instead of doing 10 different locations. After multiple visits and follow up with FRRO, I applied again to get all period during my stay. New application is in progress.

Any good news from all of you who had issue with your Indian PCC? Anyone who got PPR? Do they accept PCC issued by FRRO?

Well, we are in final stages and hoping for PPR soon. My wife has lived in India largely for the last 9 years and the pcc was only issued for last 9 months at the time of applying (for dates since her last arrival). Any attempts to get anything more were unsuccessful, so we submitted same. So far seems to be no issues, but of course cant say entirely for sure until final confirmation. AOR August6/7th, MEP September8th, IP2 November22nd.
And yes, the letter was from FRRO, not a police office as they claimed on Canada website. Also we submitted a LOE just in case, but to be honest, it looks like there are quite enough cases that are similar and its quite possible that CIC workers are aware of the format for foreigners.
