Hi I received an invitation for PR, but I noticed that I forgot to mention the employment gap due to vacation i.e. 2 months.

Instead of 2 dates i.e.
1. Aug, 2017 to Jan, 2018
2. Mar, 2018 to Dec, 2018

I mentioned 1 date i.e. Aug, 2018 to Dec, 2018.

And, I was on vacation from mid of Jan, 2018 until mid of March, 2018.

So, should I edit my work history and mention 2 different dates with letter of explanation?
(or)
Just add the vacation info on personal history under the PR application with a letter of explanation?

First - Congrats on the ITA!

Second - Vacation is a paid benefit of employment. I don't know anyone who has the luxury of 2 months of paid vacation. If your time away was unpaid, it is an "unpaid leave of absence." Possibly it was a combination of paid vacation and unpaid leave of absence. Either way, it does not affect your eligibility, however, it is better to use the correct terms.

In any case - either option works. Possibly the LOE option is better since you already have the ITA. You can leave it as a single term of employment, with the Letter of Explanation. As well, it should be mentioned in the Letter of employment - benefits, including vacation allocation, is an important part of remuneration (esp. if you get more that 2 weeks of paid vacation). And any unpaid leave of absence should also be noted.
