Rescheduling Oath ceremony

hi there,
My oath ceremony in 2nd week of January and I have to travel to India by end of Jan. I’m not sure if I will be able to get surrender certificate and e-visa etc before Jan end and planning to postpone by giving explanation via email and courier and phone. Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks however these threads do not answer a few key points:
A. In case I go with Oath date:
Can we apply for evisa without surrender certificate? Can we travel on evisa while surrender processing is ongoing?

B. If I chose to postponed date
In that case, since I have to travel Jan end, I’m planning to provide travel proof and a reason that surrender certificate and other formalities might take more time and can impact my travel. Does that sounds valid reason?

Thanks however these threads do not answer a few key points:
A. In case I go with Oath date: Do not let this chance go as you never know when will be the next call
Can we apply for evisa without surrender certificate? Can we travel on evisa while surrender processing is ongoing?
E-Visa can be recieved without Surrender Certificate.
Passport can be surrendered in india as well as in Canada after returning.
Once you apply for OCI card, Surrender certificate is a must
