Hi Everyone,

I am new to this thread and I was reading some queries and clarifications regarding which degree we need to get assessed to claim points under EE.

I have an only 12th-grade certificate from back home and the two-year post-secondary diploma from Canada.

Can anyone please advise, if I should get my 12th grade evaluated because I am wondering if WES evaluate it in equivalence to Canadian High-school, will I get an additional 30 points, according to this link: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/become-candidate/eligibility/education-assessed/read-report.html

Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you in advance!

Hello all,

I have done WES assessment for my BSc and MA but didnt do it for my MBA ( was not sure about the validity since it was a distance education) still. Now I came to know that I can get assessed for that too..so If I do it now, will it add any more points? Do having two masters assessed help in getting more CRS points? or is it same as one master degree? or does it make a difference because one is MA and other is MBA?

Dear All,

I got ITA on April 05th, 2017. I have received my Ph.D from Canada and Master`s and Bachelor`s from India. I haven`t done ECA for my Master`s and Bachelor`s since I will only require my Canadian Ph.D for CRS points. However, I have added Pre-Degree, Bachelor`s and Master`s in the education history section and answered `NO` to the question `` Have you received ECA for this degree`` (for all degrees except Ph.D).

Is it ok to add pre-degree, Bachelor`s and Master`s under the education history. Would it cause any confusion due to declaring degrees which do not have ECA reports? I won`t be able to add this under the personal history section since these are more than 10 years old. Please note that I had included all the degrees in the pre-ITA express entry form and it has been carried over to the post-ITA PR application form.

Please advise.

Thank You.
Can you please tell me about your experience. I will have ECA only for phd. My Master`s and Bachelor`s (older than 10 years) are from India. Where were you able to add these successfully?

I have a PhD and I have evaluated only that although I have master and bachelor degree in the same subject. Now I am filling in the application form for EE, shall I mention only my PhD in the form or I can mention other degrees as well?
Hi
Can you update me what did you fill for education in initial EE profile and post ITA?
Thanks.

I am in a similar situation. Currently in Post-ITA phase, about to submit the application..
  • I have only had my Master's evaluated by WES (Master's from US & Bachelors from India)
  • I have mentioned Masters in Educational history section and Bachelors in Personal history section.
Since your case is mostly similar to mine, I have a few questions
  1. Do I have to upload bachelors degree while submitting documents or will it cause issues ?
  2. If I have to submit a LOE, what should it ideally state ?
  3. Do I have to submit an LOE separately for each section or is one letter containing all details enough ?
Thanks for your time.
Hi
So how did you handle you Bachelors degree? Did you upload relayed degree docs?
What did you syate in LOE?

I want to max my points for express entry application.

Hi
So what did you fill education while making initial ee profile? Did you start filling info from bachelor degree?
Did you get you PR already?
I am in same boat.

Hi, do I also need to attach copy of my BA diploma if I have WES report from my country? Or just WES would be sufficient? Thanks.

Hi Folks,

Can anyone please advise me, I have completed Associate Degree (2 year course) in 1991 and Bachelor's Degree in 2000.

My questions are:

1) I got my 2 years course assessed from WES and am planning to assess my Bachelor's Degree in ICES, therefore it will give 2 separate assessments, it is acceptable?
2) Should i get both reassessed together?
3) In the end, will I get points for two or more diplomas?

Many thanks in advance for your reply.

Hi guys, important queries- If I don’t get my bachelors assessed, as I have Masters from Canada. Then:

1-Do I include bachelors in education or personal history? As I read on this thread that someone’s application got cancelled for including a bachelors degree in the education history without an ECA? Has someone else faced issues because of that? What have others done?

2- If I don’t get an ECA for bachelors, then how do the skill transferability points work?

Can someone please look into these.

Thank you.

Best,

You are only required to do highest degree evaluation, but for safety you do it both together, The reason is that if your masters is not recognized as equivalent they will consider your bachelors and give bachelors 4 yrs or bachelors three yrs and + 1 yr graduate studies. Now if u only send masters and you dont get it equal to Canadian masters than you will have to spend again on getting ur bachelors verified. so with same rate why dont u send all?
As of Dec 1,2018 is requiring all docs for INDIA to be sent by the institution themselves and not applicants and my universities cannot do International Shipping and my alternative is CES for evaluation and they charge 210$ per credential evaluation so that would be 420 $ for both Masters and Bachelors evaluation. So can someone please confirm if I evaluate only Masters that would suffice and get me the highest points even without the Bachelors ? Thanks in advance.

Hi- can someone please respond to the above query. Really appreciate the help!
Ok so the reason he has this question is this text -

"Two or more post-secondary program credentials AND at least one of these credentials was issued on completion of a post-secondary program of three years or longer" for getting skill transferability points.

Question here really is ...

Is having a Masters alone enough for proving "Two or more post-secondary program credentials AND at least one of these credentials was issued on completion of a post-secondary program of three years or longer"?

Seniors, please reply .
