Not sure why you are getting Canadian citizenship your yourself and your spouse. I am under the impression that you can't be dual citizen so you will be renouncing your Indian citizenship?
That's right. OP would need to renounce his Indian citizenship.

The OP has probably not realized that once he/his wife get Canadian citizenship, they would need to pay foreigner rates (not Indian rates) for hotels, domestic flights, entry fees, etc in India

Sorry that's a typo. I meant - so we, parents, are NOT planning to get Canadian Citizenship..

I raised these 3 questions, could you answer them ?

1). So that means in order for me to get Indian Passport for my daughter, I need to first go to Canada Passport office and surrender the passport and get a letter and submit it to Indian Consulate along with other documents, right ?
2). Regarding my son's case, once he gets the Indian passport, do I need to apply Visa for him or PR for him or doesn't he need any of these to stay here in Canada, because he is anyway born in Canada ?
3) After we get an Indian passport for my son, what if we have to visit India for vacation in between, how will my son enter Canada again ? because he doesn't have Canada Passport nor a Canada Citizenship certificate, but since he is born in Canada they may not issue temporary Visa. There is one more reason for refusal, since we both parents are PR holders, I guess they will ask us to apply for PR or Canada Passport first and then enter ?

Your daughter cannot renounce her Canadian citizenship under the age of 18 years. It would have been a different matter if she had applied for an Indian passport first.

You can apply for an Indian passport for him IF you and/or your wife are Indian citizens.

That said, because he was born in Canada, he may not be able to get a TRV/visitor visa to travel back to Canada if he leaves the country. His immigration status will always show as a Canadian citizen.

Another solution for you:
1. Allow your children to enjoy the privileges that come with having Canadian citizenship. They don't have to 'work' to get it.

2. Apply for OCI cards instead.

3. Have you checked school fees for really good quality schools in India? You might be surprised that the cost of schooling in prestigious, good quality schools is the same as abroad. Of course, public or government schools have negligible school tuition fees. But then you would not want to send your children to public or government-managed schools in India, right?

So as I said before you can't have the best of both worlds. You want your children to have Canadian citizenship so they can return at 18 so you're going to have to pay higher fees in India for their schooling. What matters is citizenship not passports.
