Illegal stay family member

Hi all,

I wanna start the process for Canada immigration through express entry.
I have one doubt, my brother had travel to USA and after his illegal stay in the states, he decided to go to Canada by the boarders and ask for political asylum when his request might be accepted or denied.
In case of denial, he might stay there illegally.
My question is; will my brothers illegal stay affect my application in any ways or forms?
