Travel outside Canada after PR invite

Hello,

Me and my wife (Indian citizens in the US) are preparing our EE application together, however my wife has a commitment in the US - a university enrolled program. So say if we get an invite and we choose to accept it in the next few months, I'm assuming we have to show up together in Canada?
Also, can she show up and travel back to US to finish her course? Or does that impact the PR process in Canada. I know that we are supposed to stay in Canada for a year to get a PR after invite, but is that stay continuous or is travel allowed?

It says two years to maintain the PR but it does not have to be continuous. So even a few weeks or days would count towards the required two years?
My question really is - Does my wife being outside Canada affect my PR (Even if I reside in Canada for two years)?

That's after you become a PR, yes you need to meet the residency obligation.
This has nothing to do with invitation or your application
