Do you have to pay if you delay in surrendering Indian passport in Canada after 3 months? Have anyone paid the fine or they waive off?

What if you surrender in India after a year or so? Do they charge fine as well? if yes, how much?

Yes one of my known paid fine. For current fine amount you can check bsl or Indian government website.

This is Canadian site. I need a link of Indian website for the same purpose in India which stated the fine for surrendering late.

based on this site, its possible that they dont ask for fee while surrendering in India on how many times we used the passport after foreign citizenship.
