After sending passport, how long does CIC take to stamp the visa

Hi I'm sharing my time line:
Applied: October 19th
PP request: October 25th
PP mailed Via Fedex to CPC ottawa: October 25th
PP Delivered: October 26th
Approval notice: Nov1
Return track activated: november 8th
Picked up my passport: Today November 9th.

Please note I applied from USA and I know the waiting game sucks.

My timelines
  • Application submitted : 23 Oct 2018
  • Original Passport request : 29 Oct 2018
  • Passport sent to Ottawa from USA : 30 Oct 2018 (Sent via Fedex)
  • Passport received by them : 31 Oct 2018
  • Visa Approved : 5 Nov 2018
  • Return tracker activated (Fedex) : 9 Nov 2018
  • Passport received : 10 Nov 2018

Friends, Relax there is no waiting game, the embassy receives tons of passports from all over and they need time to process , all you need to have patience when you apply for visa. if you have patience then whole process is smooth for you , read timelines about what others have shared its normal there is wait period because you are not only one applying those people are working hard with tons of applicants at a same time so this is normal , all you need to do is prepare well in advance like 45 days before your travel to apply so you get your visa in 3 to 4 weeks after you have filled online form currently and thoroughly on their website without mistake and all documents are provided no missing docs. For me preparing docs took 15 days .

Good morning everyone,

I dont know if i can make it on time. I have aflight on Dec 25th 2018.
Application Submitted: Nov 23rd 2018
Passport request: Dec 7th 2018
Passport sent: Dec 10th 2018
Passport delivered: Dec 11th 2018

Today is is Dec 16th and i havent get any updates on CIC account :( i have 9 more days before the flight. Please help :(

THIS IS CRAZY. I have the same exact timeline!!!!
FLight on the 25th, application submitted on the 23 of November, passport request on friday december 7th, I sent it via UPS on the 10th and it was delivered on the 11th. I'm still waiting for any update!

Did you guys get PPR in 15 days after submitting the application ? That is FAST.

Hey can anyone please tell me what do you mean by counterfoil? I sent my passport on 27 December 2018 and it was delivered on 31 December 2018. My application says "Your application was approved. Check your messages below for details". Under document status there's my passport and it says counterfoil.
