So I'm off on vacation for 8 days tomorrow and not expecting to hear any test invitation until the new year at the earliest. I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and hopefully those of us still waiting will hear good news in the new year.
Is it an email or do you get a letter for Oath invite?Hi admin,
Please update my status.
Citizenship oath mail received today.
Citizenship ceremony date: 29th January 2019.
Location: Edmonton, Alberta.
Thanks very much
It was an email and the oath ceremony invite was included as an attachment (hope that helps?)Is it an email or do you get a letter for Oath invite?
congrats! how long did the ceremony take?Hello folks,
thanks to everyone's well wishes and god's grace, my wife and I became canadian citizens today.
thanks and all the best
the doors to the ceremony room opened at 8:45. From 9 to 10 they registered all applicants. so basically they called everyone, took PR cards back and made us sign a declaration saying we don't have any criminal cases pending against us. at 10 the ceremony began- judge said a few words, then everyone took the oath as a group. then judge called all applicants one by one to hand over the citizenship certificate. that went on till about 10:40. Then remaining 20 mins till 11 people took photographs, etc.congrats! how long did the ceremony take?

Nope. Same here. I'm in Kitchener though. Seems to be taking a very long time out this way. Wonder what's happening. Anybody else in the same boat. IP since 26 July 2018Good Morning Everyone, Till now no test date received. We applied in April but my friend sent the application in Sept 2018 and he already did his test yesterday.
Any April Applicant received a Test Date recently?
I am about an hour west of you and I've been 'in process' since late July also.Nope. Same here. I'm in Kitchener though. Seems to be taking a very long time out this way. Wonder what's happening. Anybody else in the same boat. IP since 26 July 2018
You do not need to print the application (they would have the original file with them). But taking the originals of all the documents would be a good idea, including a copy of the travel history.Dear Libu and all,
Today, me and my wife got a test invite, so please update into the google sheet.
It's been a long waiting to get this feedback.
Family members: 3
Resident Place: Coquitlam
Received application on April 16, 2018
Started processing application on July 18, 2018
Test Invite informed on Dec 20, 2018, and scheduled on Jan 9, 2019
BTW, regarding "ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS that support my citizenship application (as listed in the document checklist)",
do I have to bring all of them of the checklist? If yes, I need to print out Citizenship application form and physical presence calculator as well?
Also, would it be better to bring my kid's application form along with other supporting documents on the test date?
Thanks in advance.
You know there's a spreadsheet documenting the current status of all the users on this forum, right? Is there a single person in the entire forum who applied in April and got his/her test invite? Just curious
