Any Toronto May applicants with test invite? This is worse than PR application. Wow. One would think that with every milestone reached things would get simpler and faster... and here i am 'In process' since Aug. Already 8 months since application.

Received my oath invite today (Dec 18th, 2018)

Oath date is Jan 24th, 2019.

Also, it says I need to bring "All of the original documents that you submitted with your citizenship application – Immigration Record of
Landing (IMM1000) or Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM5292 or IMM5688);" but I didn't remember submitting any of this with my application. Does anyone know what they are?

I feel you - I am from Montreal In process since August .What's worse is I applied for PR renewal in April 2017 I got it in Feb 2018 and I applied for citizenship May 2018, -4 months after getting my renewed PR -... and here I am still waiting ..when I applied I was thinking due to my recent PR renewal, I might wrap citizenship in 4 months max ... LOL stay tuned

Above is the details of my application.

I have noticed a lot of people who have submitted in May are sadly still in process like myself and it is very ‘nerve wrecking ‘ waiting and checking while many others are getting through . Hopefully it’s just the backlog of applications and not that something is wrong .

Do you think there is anything negative in contacting the CIC for an update re application? Because in fairness they are still in the stipulated 12 months time frame .

Wouldn’t this have been the best Christmas gift lol

I received test invite today - Test date is Jan 14 2019 in Vancouver.
Thanks to you all who have kept us hopeful along this journey. My heart goes out to those still waiting - it won't be long.

I think they took my6 landing paper at the interview

Well I didn't submit either document with my application. Then they asked me if I had the landing document before i went into the test, I said I don't have it b/c it's so long ago. I passed the interview as well.

I reread their instructions again and I think I only have to bring those original documents if I used it in my application, so I think I'm okay without them.

Same boat! In Process since Aug 1st. Nothing comes..I kept calling but got answers like: oh it is still under process, call back when it is after a year.

Well I didn't submit either document with my application. Then they asked me if I had the landing document before i went into the test, I said I don't have it b/c it's so long ago. I passed the interview as well.

I would call CIC and cross check over the phone. I lost my landing papers as well, all you need to do is file a police complaint and go to CIC. they accepted my stuff, also I had an entry stamp on my passport.
