Hi,

I got RCMP Letter today ,I am just bit concerned about language so please let me know if its standard format or there is cause of any concern here .

This certifies that search of the National Criminal Records Repository and Fingerprint Repository maintained by RCMP concerning the application whose
fingerprints, name and date of birth appear below could not be associated to any immigration related file or existing Criminal Record which may be disclosed in accordance with federal laws.

Now my concern is on clause of Immigration related file ,as I am in Canada the only thing is my surname in passport is blank , so my given name in passport is written as firstname lastname.

In landing paper they typed it as firstname firstname lastname.

Do you see any issues with RCMP Letter ,Please suggest.

Regards,

Hi there , I just applied for my PR after study in Canada . On my Background check it says the same thing . So is that means it’s clear background or is there any concern i need to worry about?
Thanks

It means they have not found anything criminal against your name or fingerprints.....that is good
Thanks for the quick reply. I was worried . One more question if you can help me with that . I just went to apply for my security license today and they should have gave me background check certificate right away but they didn’t. I mean that’s how it supposed to work and the lady firstly said that she will give the certificate right away but later she said it will be mailed to you and didn’t disclose the reason .

That is really not an immigration problem. You have to address that with the person.

Thanks a lot to clarify my confusion. I’m glad i made an account.
All I can say is, usually if you go for a job (especially in Security) in Canada, you are required to get a background check. Make sure you get that certificate before you start work, or if something happens, you may be liable.
