Hi Guys,

Please add me to the sheet:

Citizenship Grant Application

Application Sent: Sep 17, 2018
Application Received: Sep 20, 2018
Location : Vancouver, BC
AOR: Pending

Any idea if there are people who have sent an application on or Sep 20th who have still not got an AOR?
My application was received on September 21 -- still no AOR, and nothing returned to me this far.

It's kind of erratic, it seems. And with the holiday season, it doesn't look like there will be any traction on the movement of files for another month.
It seems so -- based on the spreadsheet, the user Wisper got his/her AOR on December 11, and the application was received on September 13. I want to believe that our AOR is coming, but just a bit delayed :)

If we get the application back at this point... it will be 3 months lost in processing time.

Hi, My application was received on Sep 13, 2018. I haven't received my AOR yet, and the application is not returned yet either. I just realized that i sent my Ontario Health Card as my ID. Is it a valid piece of ID, or should i expect that my package will be returned? Thanks

Hi Ali, Ontario Health Card is a government issued photo ID. There shouldn't be any problem on this front with your application. Good luck!

Received AOR : 14th Dec. (for both my wife as well as myself.)

However, I noticed that the mailing address is the old address (address used for PR - back from India). So, I'll have to change it.

Hi,
When they return an application, is it by regular mail, meaning you find the package in the mailbox, or you have to sign something and the postman leaves a notice if you’re not at home?
Thanks!

Sometimes you ask unusual question. They just send the envelop by regular mail. Regular mail means the postman put the envelop in your mailbox. No signature, nothing.

Hello Everyone,
I have received my AOR today. My login name is rja & my application had reached CIC on Sept 20.

I want to give my best wishes to candidates who are waiting for AORs. I have had my experience of biting my nails on waiting for AOR & hope that folks in the group receive an update soon.

Received AOR : 14th Dec. (for both my wife as well as myself.)

However, I noticed that the mailing address is the old address (address used for PR - back from India). So, I'll have to change it.

Hello,
I'm still a couple years away from applying for my citizenship, but I had a question which may affect my application. I have been in Canada for about a year (PR through PNP) and haven't been able to find a job in my NOC (1112). In this respect, will either of the following actions negatively affect my citizenship application:
1. Gaining employment in other NOCs (such as 3213, 0613 etc.) where employers are showing interest in my CV?
2. Going in for further education which is not relevant to my NOC? (I have a background in life science research, hence this dilemma).
Thank you all in advance for, hopefully, being able to respond to my query.
