Hi all,

Considering I will be applying for a visa online, Can I scan the original documents (foreign language) instead of the certified true copy? I will have the translations + affidavit as well. I'm just wondering about the reasoning for needing certified true copies if I will be applying online and I can just upload the original.

There is a reason for IRCC to request for a certified true copy: Veracity!

In fact, IRCC even specifies who can/cannot translate a document

@Bryanna Thanks for the reply. So, I have a power of attorney document for a property ownership contract. I will get the power of attorney document translated + a certified true copy of it. The issue I have is that the contract of my property is about 5 pages long and they charge a lot for the certified true copies. I was wondering if each page in the contract has to be certified separately or can I just have the first page of the contract certified?
