Dependent child without spouse being accompanied

Hi all
My spouse is in govt.job and cannot accompany me to canada for at least 1 year before he takes voluntary retirement.
My question is can my 5 years old child accompany me as dependent even without my husband?

Yes. Your spouse will need to sign IMM5604 to give permission for the child to immigrate.

If your spouse plans to come to Canada within 3 years from landing, it would be easier for him to be included and land as a PR than for you to sponsor him later.
