Additional Document Request - Renew Passport!

Hello,

My passport was less than 2 months away from expiration when I submitted my application for permanent residence. After MEP and biometrics completed, I was given an ADR on September 28th to submit my new passport info with a deadline of October 28th. Luckily, I received the passport on October 1st and immediately submitted same day. Since then my status shows "uploaded". Does CIC wait till the deadline date before they review? Please help!

My experience with other ADRs is that they do not wait till the deadline to review.

They can review earlier or later based on thier own schedule.

should the status be uploaded? i thought status had to show updated or transmitted.

i haven't been in this position though so i don't really know.

Don't stress yourself following up this close. They can see it and approve it but not update the status on your account. Just sit back and relax.

The wording isn't unified. It can be different.

An update:

• ADR status went from "uploaded" to "Not applicable" on October 30th (29 days after it was uploaded). I got an email about a message in my CIC account for this update. Update was accompanied by the "How to find a job..." email
• ADR status changed from "Not applicable" to "...reviewing additional document..." on December 3rd (34 days later). No email for this update. However, the status showed Application/Profile updated twice before the change.

ADR was for new passport.

They sent a request letter after MEP and BIL for me to upload the new passport in about 30 days from when the letter was sent. 2. No need for LOE in my case. Although, after I uploaded on my CIC account, I raised a CSE with LOE and a copy of the passport, just to ensure that they got it. This step may have been unnecessary.

3. No place to update passport number. However, I included the new passport number in the LOE I typed for CSE. Again, may have been unnecessary.

I think uploading it will be just fine. I have always been in "IP2".

Based on your details,looks like IP2 is not reflecting the correct status.

I'm not sure about "delay". Even with ADR, criminality, eligibility and security were all passed for me by day 90. I think that's fair considering other cases.

Are you CEC or FSW category,please confirm.

They saw CEC is faster.
