Hello! The subsequent steps would be as follows:

1) Status whether the medical passed or failed. (No email will be sent. However, can be checked via GCKey)
2) File transfer (either to Missisauga or to the PA’s local VO)
3) Eligibility and background check
4) Passport request (if everything goes okay)

They might ask any additional document/s or call for an interview during the tenure, if needed.

Thank you

Hey all,

Thought I would share my timeline below as I hope it shows others that things can move quickly after receiving AOR. I had my PPR today and only had my medical 2 weeks ago. So although it was a tough wait of almost 4 months to get my AOR1, I then got my decision made and passport request within a month from then.

All the best!

Received Application: July 19th, 2018
AOR 1: November 9th, 2018
Med Request: November 14th, 2018
Med Done: November 29th, 2018
Sponsor Approval: November 15th, 2018
Med Passed: December 4th, 2018
File Transferred to Mississuaga: November 27th, 2018
BCIP: December 6th, 2018
DM: December 12th, 2018
PPR: December 12th 2018

I have a similar situation, no AoR yet though... Do you know whether there was an internal transfer or smth like that?
Not that I know of. I haven't received any notification whatsoever about any transfer. They usually inform applicant if file is transferred to other processing centre.

I had sent a webform enquiry and got standard reply from them, and very next day, my ECAS became active and got AOR next day via email.

PPR (Passport Request) is the letter you get just before your application is approved. It's the request for the submission of Principal Applicant's passport/copy of passport (if PA is from a visa exempt country) for visa stamping. Once your application is approved, you get your passport back stamped with a one-entry visa and COPR (Confirmation of Permanent Residence). COPR is the letter that comes with your passport as it is returned to you stating that you've been approved as a PR. You'll also get an instruction on how to proceed with your landing process. Landing process: Your visa qualifies you to travel to Canada, but you will need to present your COPR to an immigration officer at your first port of entry (airport/seaport or land border) to Canada for documentation and mini interview before you can become a Permanent Resident officially. Once your landing process is complete, your PR card will be mailed to your Canadian address within 2-4 months of your arrival. I hope this helps.
