Unable to submit requested documents - re-filing after rejection

Hi all,

We filed for a PR with my wife being the primary applicant and I as the dependent. IRCC is requesting for documentation from her past employer going back to 2010. Problem is, it is not going to be easy. It was a small company back then and doesn't exist anymore. Trying to get any correspondence hasn't been easy thus far.

IRCC notified that it will continue our application assessment with whatever they have, in case we cannot provide the documentation they requested. In other words, we might be looking at getting rejected. If that happens, is there any fee that will be reimbursed back to us? We paid the PR fee as well as the Right to PR fee (RPRF).

Also, can we re-file for the PR with me being the primary applicant? Will there be any consequences of our previously failed attempt? I believe the education evaluation, IELTS and medical exam will be still be valid as they have been taken in early 2018. Am I right in assuming that?

Any feedback will be much appreciated.

Only RPRF is refunded as they had already started processing your application.
You can refile with no consequences.
Medical is valid for 1 year, IELTS for 2 years.
