PR card photo request

Unfortunately it goes at the back of the queue.
I have a similar case and received request for new photos. Here is my timeline :
Landed : 17 Aug, 2018
New Photo request : 5 Oct, 2018
Photos received by CIC : 15 Oct, 2018
Ghost update for profile update : 10 Nov, 2018
PR card approved : 22 Nov, 2018

Now waiting for the next stage .. Completed and mailed
Its a long drawn out process. I hope I get my card before 6th Dec as I am planning to go back around that time

How did you know that the photos are received and acknowledged by CIC , apart from canadapost tracking?

Hello everyone,

I have a question:- does absolutely everyone, who applies for the initial PR card gets a request for up to date photos after a few weeks of landing?

Or is it just on case to case basis and there are people, who just get their PR cards in post after a few weeks of landing.

Not everyone. I’ve seen folks on here who received their PR card without any photo resubmission.

usually how much time it is being taken by IRCC to process PR card after receiving new photos?

My timelines for photo request
Got photo request: 31-May-2018
Sent speed post from India to canada: 05-June-2018
Speed post delivered in Canada: 15-June-2018.
and now waiting

Hi, Did you get your PR card? Why did you use speed post? Is it because DHL/FeDex doesnt courier to PO Box number?

Hi how do you send the photos if you are not in Canad during the request?
