Just checked my account and there was a ghost update. Jan. 27 applicant.
I don't want to get my hopes high, sometimes people get ghost updates and no PPR in a loooong time. But at least somebody looked at my application, for the first time in forever.

That is good news hopefully. Any change on ecas? Any lines added?

Nothing, ECAS has stayed the same for about 7 months. It still reads "in process", lines are all the same. I had my MP do an inquiry, so that may explain the ghost update.

Okay, so this was not a good sign at all. My spouse received a request for re-medical today. I haven't, even though we passed our medicals at about the same time. And best of all, our medicals are not even expired yet! CIC says that since the medical expires within 90 days (end of January), they cannot process them. Well, what kept them from processing our medicals until now?
It's like they are determined to make it as hard as possible for us.

Got through to CIC for the first time in four months. They said that everything is done, security, criminality, eligibility is passed. The only thing needed is the medical.
I asked why do they need the medical, and why only from my husband? He did it in late January 2018, so it is still valid! The agent said that the medical has to be valid when you land. That my medical will be reassessed, but his has to be redone. I said that if they gave us ppr now, my husband would have enough time to land in Canada, but the agent said that it is pushing it, and he needs to do a new medical.
Then I asked why they did not review his medical earlier. He said he does not have an answer.

So basically CIC was sitting there doing nothing until my MP submitted and inquiry. Then they looked at our application and decided to ask us for a new medical. They didn't do this earlier just because they set our application aside and could not care less about us.

Another e-mail from Vancouver local office.
They said we are scheduling landing appointments for backlog applications.
My landing appointment will most likely be scheduled in January/February 2019.
This wait is killing me.

They said my security check is not been started..
I was like it’s been almost 2 years and security check is not been started!!!
What are you guy doing?
Call agent was nice but he said nothing I can do from my end.
Your elegibility is cleared, medical cleared, criminality is cleared. Back ground check is taking time.
I asked him any other solution for my file. Just to wait.
I am so done with this PR thing

Sorry to hear that. Wow.
If you have Twitter, find CIC on there and add your voice to other disappointed PNP applicants. If we make enough noise, maybe the media, the MPs and the immigration minister will notice.

Hey Man I am in the same situation, but I don't think this is true. Because my company got a call from immigration, so I hope they are checking some behavior but they do not write that in my process.

January 16 2017 still waiting for PR.

Last update was on March 21 2018 regarding medical and address history correction . After that no update no additional document request.

I am really upset and stressed because it’s been 7 years and apply everything correctly and done studies get good score complete all the requirements needed and still on work permit . Sorry to say but it’s alredy very stressful to just live in Canada plus CIC creating more stress in life. It’s hard to believe when people came after you apply in same category already receive there PR .

I am really done with this wait .

Try going to your MP again, that may wake them up. When my MP launched an inquiry a couple of weeks ago, I got a remedical request

Called cic agent in August everything was passed in august and security screening was not started.
Called 1st week of December everything same still didn’t started security screening.
No idea what cic is doing for 4 months, probably my file is just sitting in some corner. So disappointed from this whole process.
