WES - Amity University not recognize

For ugc letter I went to ugc office near India gate, they were very nice people, they gave me a print out of letter issued to Amity to conduct the course for the year, when I took admission. So let me know what course and years of admission is yours, then I can suggest.


So ultimately, I want to share one thing, whatever course it is , whatever University it is,, just get the letter from ugc and send it to iqas along with application and explain about this on area given for explanation in the application form. If you have this ugc letter no one can stop you, IQAS clearly says on their website, that they follow UGC for any recognition.

This letter is also published in the admission brochure, at the time when we take admission.

Hope this will help everyone here suffering from Wes evaluation.

By distant learning, do u mean u did ur course in Amity school of distant learning ONLINE? plz advise if PGD online 1 year course from Amity school of distant learning will be recognized by IQAS?

All, do not go to WES for distance learning MBA from Amity as it's not recognized by WES. You will end up wasting your time and money.

Dear Prateek. I have completed MBA from Amity University in 2014 (2 years fast track executive from Amity Distance learning) Shared my transcript with WES. they have not rejected to include my AMity degree in WES scores which means my points reduced by 39. Can you please help or share your email or phone number. I have already spend a huge amount of money with WWICS taking care of it. I am in a mess. Kindly request to help so that i can get this sorted at the earliest. Awaiting your earliest reply.

I have contacted Amity and they are ready to provide letter of UGC recognization, so I am thinking to get those letters first.

Please check the below link, Part-time, distance learning courses ( From Amity University ) are not yet recognized by UGC-DEB (Distance Education Board)

Hey Prateek, I am not misguiding. Please read my post again. I mentioned specifically for AMITY UNIVERSITY.

You can visit that UGC-DEB website and check the list for academic year 2018-19. There are 90 universities whose distance education is recognised. 75 uni in first list and 15 in second one. Amity's name isn't there in both the lists.

Yes, that I am aware, but I don't want to comment on that. And yes, the recognition depends on the year of enrollment, so I did had evaluation as positive for my year of admission.

Please let me know how it went for you? I enrolled for 11 month PGD program in data analytics. After spending hours researching about credibility, I am convinced that Amity is registered under distance mode. https://www.ugc.ac.in/deb/pdf/DistanceEducationInstitutions-Directorate DistanceEducation.pdf

So I went a step ahead and found that there is national database ( work in progress) that will soon be implemented https://nad.gov.in/ai_registered.html
In here, I am sorry to tell you but Amity University, Noida is not yet registered. Hope they will register here.

"Distance mode" and "Open & Distance Learning Mode" are apparently two different things. Anyways, please let me know if you completed your programme and got it evaluated by WES / IQAS.
